How Does Advising Work?

There are two ways you can speak with an advisor:

1. Appointments - You can contact the advising office at your college to schedule a face-to-face advising session.

2. Walk-in Advising - Walk-in to the Student Services Office at your college during advising times. Remember, there could be a wait.

During your advising time, you'll cover things like:

Academic Planning

You can meet with an advisor to help you find the classes you'll need to reach your goals. They'll also look over any past credits and work with you on the best plan to reach your degree.

Financial Aid Assistance

Wondering how you'll pay for college? Your advisor can help you with filling out your FAFSA and choosing which financial aid options are right for you.

Career Services

Your advisor has tons of information about popular jobs that pay well. They'll talk to you about your interests, a find a path that will help you land your dream

Help Transferring

Looking to transfer to one of Kentucky's four-year universities? Your advisor can help you choose the classes you'll need, and help you through the transferring process. Plus, they can help you apply for transfer scholarships!
