Academic Advising
Academic advising at KCTCS is a dynamic relationship between the student and advisor in which the student is educated and empowered to make informed decisions and take action to establish and meet their academic, career, and personal goals.
Academic advisors are fundamental to the mission of KCTCS. They play a critical role in supporting and empowering KCTCS students by ensuring that students know and understand credential/degree requirements; how to locate and use available resources and services to reduce barriers; and how to navigate the complexities of higher education.
