Visual Communications - Animation
COLLEGE CREDIT REQUIREMENTS
To earn KCTCS credit for Interactive Media, a student must have accomplished the following:
- Completed 3 or more pathway credits in their high school Interactive Media program with a grade of B or higher.
- Submitted the necessary documentation, signed by a school personnel, indicating all requirements have been met (see next page of this document for signature page).
- Applied to a KCTCS college and enrolled within three years of graduating high school.
- Successfully completes VCC 125 Computer Graphics I OR VCC 150 Mac Basics at the Kentucky Community & Technical College System.
- Met with the Visual Communication program coordinator (or their designee) at their home KCTCS college (see final page of this document for signature page).
CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING BASED ON THE END OF PROGRAM ASSESSMENT:
VCM 115 2D Animation (3 credit hours)
In addition, a student who has passed and received Adobe certifications in Photoshop,
Illustrator, and/or After Effects within the last three years, will receive additional credit for the
following courses once they have completed VCC 125 Computer Graphics I or VCC 150
Mac Basics:
- VCC 166 Photoshop Basics (3 credit hours) and/or
- VCC 200 Illustrator Basics (3 credit hours) and/or
- VCM 215 After Effects (3 credit hours)
