About the It's On Us campaign

Campus Clarity

    • A cultural movement aimed at fundamentally shifting the way we think about sexual assault and intimate partner violence.
    • It is a rallying cry inviting everyone to step up and realize that the solution begins with us.
  • It frames the issue of sexual assault not only as a crime committed by a perpetrator against a victim, but a societal problem in which all of us have a role to play.

Why do students "have" to take this training program?

The Violence Against Women Act, signed into law by President Obama in 2013, requires all institutions to provide sexual assault awareness and prevention training to students and employees. There are no immediate consequences for not taking the training program, however we expect all students to complete this program by the deadline.

Where do students go to sign up for the training program?

Students may access the training program using this link: http://mypath.kctcs.edu
Please use your KCTCS Username and password to access the course when prompted.

The It's On Us Pledge

NOTE: The Pledge is not the Training!

I PLEDGE:

To RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault

To IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault or intimate partner violence may occur

To INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given

To CREATE an environment in which sexual assault and intimate partner violence is unacceptable and survivors are supported
