A Message From Dr. Czarapata

Developing talent for Kentucky’s workforce has never been more important to the Commonwealth. Kentucky has thousands of job openings and not enough skilled people to fill them, so building the state’s workforce talent pipeline is one of my highest priorities. My team has really stepped up to enhance our work in this area.

At KCTCS, training Kentucky’s workforce is not only a priority for us, but it’s also part of our mission. I’m proud to say in the last year our Workforce Solutions team has upskilled more Kentucky workers, sealed partnerships with more business clients and had 105% increase in the number of projects they led. It also was our highest performing year in TRAINS history.

This is just the beginning. As we continue to align our Workforce Solutions programs and customized training to the needs of more employers, KCTCS is helping to increase the number of skilled workers for today’s and tomorrow’s careers.
