Dual Credit Week is a special time to recognize and celebrate the hardworking high school students across Kentucky who are earning college credits while still in high school! From April 14-18, KCTCS is shining a spotlight on these ambitious students, the dedicated high school counselors and teachers who not only support students but many of which play a vital role in teaching dual credit classes, the parents who cheer them on, and the KCTCS faculty and staff who help make dual credit a success.
Why Celebrate Dual Credit?
Students get a head start on their college education, saving time and money while challenging themselves with college-level coursework. Many also end up doing better after high school in college.
High school counselors and teachers provide guidance, encouragement, and the resources students need to succeed. Many teachers also play a vital role in instructing dual credit classes, helping students get a head start on their college education. Parents play a vital role in supporting and motivating their students every step of the way. KCTCS faculty and staff create engaging learning experiences and ensure a smooth transition from high school to college.
