What is Paralegal Technology?

The Paralegal Technology curriculum prepares you for entry-level employment as a paralegal in courts, corporations, law firms, and government agencies. The curriculum is based on standards developed from the National Association of Legal Assistants Descriptions of Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) Exam Sections. Industry standards are based on the National Association of Legal Assistants Descriptions of Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) Exam Sections.

What are my career choices?

Successful completion of the Paralegal Technology program provides you the opportunity for employment as a paralegal in private law firms, courts, trust departments of banks, corporations, and government agencies. Salaries vary nationwide; according to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, the 2010 median annual wage for paralegals nationally is $46,700 and the mean wage is $49,640. The BLS projects a much faster than average growth rate for the paralegal field nationally, with an 18% growth rate through 2020. The average annual openings are expected to be 8,340 annually nationwide.
