What is Equine Studies?
BCTC Equine provides instruction on essential skills required for a variety of careers in the horse industry. In BCTC’s equine barn, students receive hands-on instruction of basic horse care management and techniques to handle horses safely in various training situations.
Upon successful completion of the equine lab courses, in as little as one semester, students are eligible for internship placement at a variety of top equine operations around the world. Students can build upon their education and experience in a full-time internship and/or employment opportunity while completing their degree through the program’s online and hybrid course offerings which provide instruction on equine anatomy and physiology, nutrition, equine health and lameness, equine business principles and the life skills necessary for a successful career.
