Section IV

The system guidelines for admissions will be followed in addition to the following college specific requirements:

  1. An applicant must score at or above the required minimum score on the pre-admission exam with preference given to those with higher scores.
  2. An applicant must be in good academic standing with the college which requires a minimum of 2.0 GPA. Preference may be given to applicants with higher GPAs in prerequisite courses.
  3. An applicant must complete the curriculum prerequisites or equivalent courses transferred from another college, with a grade of C or
  4. An applicant must have an active status on a state Nurse Aide Registry.
  5. Applicants will be notified in writing of their acceptance or denial of admission into the Nursing Program within approximately four weeks after the application deadline.

Readmission/Transfer/Advanced Standing

To be considered for Readmission/Transfer/Advanced Standing by the Nursing Admissions Committee, the applicant must meet all system and program requirements and:

  1. Be recommended by the nursing faculty from the past semester(s) or previous program(s); and
  2. Demonstrate competency reflective of previously passed nursing courses or Nurse Aide content on the first attempt.
