Follow the 3 easy steps below to apply to Learn on Demand and start registering for courses.
STEP 1: APPLY
We want to make sure that Learn on Demand is right for you. The power and flexibility of a Learn on Demand education requires a certain level of responsibility. There is no one looking over your shoulder telling you which courses to take or forcing you to complete your assignments. So make sure you check out Getting Started which will help you determine if you are an ideal candidate for Learn on Demand.
Next, you'll fill out the online application with basic personal and academic information.
Make sure you read the instructions about selecting a home college and providing a
Social Security Number. Once you complete the online application, you'll receive instant
confirmation of your status as a new KCTCS student. Write down your Application Reference
Number and store it in a safe place. You'll also receive a confirmation email explaining
your next steps as a new student. There may be items that were missing from your admissions
application. If so, a second email will be sent to you indicating any ToDo items.
You can also find this ToDo list in Student Self-Service at the Student Center.
Finally, go to the KCTCS User Account Center. The KCTCS User Account Center stores your student information securely and provides access to your information online, 24/7. At the KCTCS User Account Center, you will create your user profile and will be able to access your KCTCS username, KCTCS ID, and reset your password after verifying your identity. The account information stored in the KCTCS User Account Center will give you access to all your user accounts:

STEP 2: REGISTER
Learn on Demand uses a student information system called Student Self-Service that can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Student Self-Service allows you to register
for courses, choose your start dates, review your class schedule, financial aid, billing
information, and pay your bill. Make sure to check out the Student Self-Service tutorials that will help you register for your courses.
Missing documents such as test scores (ACT, SAT, or COMPASS), transcripts (high school or college), or letters of good standing will not prevent a first-time registration in Learn on Demand, but you will need to provide them to your home college before you can register the following semester.
If you are a non-degree/non-credential-seeking student, you may be exempt from admission requirements and obligations to perform the actions listed in your ToDo list. Please verify your status with your home college.

Learn on Demand offers you a number of ways to pay your tuition. These options include credit card, e-check, e-savings, and third-party payment. Make sure to check out the Student Self-Service tutorials that will help you learn how to pay for your courses. Remember that all courses must be paid in full prior to the start date of classes. After paying your bill you can begin your course by logging into Blackboard.

Students who enroll in an academic program should fulfill requirements as they exist at the time of such enrollment. If requirements change while the student is enrolled in a program, he/she may fulfill the new or old requirements.
KCTCS Online: Learn on Demand makes every effort to include relevant, timely, and accurate information. However, Learn on Demand reserves the right to make changes in the calendar, admission policies, expenses, programs, curricula, course descriptions, or any other matters addressed or not addressed in this publication.
