Accreditation

All sixteen KCTCS Colleges are accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the recognized regional accrediting body in the 11 southern most states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia).

See college accreditation statements in the KCTCS Catalog.

Why is Accreditation Important?

What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is a way for you to feel confident that the education you receive at KCTCS is top-quality. When a college is accredited, you know that its programs and services have been thoroughly reviewed by an independent accrediting agency, meaning we not only talk the talk but we walk the walk.

Why is Accreditation Important?

First, and most importantly, accreditation means that the education you receive from KCTCS is something you can be tremendously proud of. Whether you receive an Associates Degree in Nursing, or a Business Administration Certificate, you'll know that it is of the highest quality because it has been thoroughly reviewed and approved by a recognized accrediting association. This also means that the pressure is on KCTCS (its a good thing!) to continue to attract the best and brightest faculty and staff and develop top-quality programs. Accreditation allows us to offer federal grant or loan money for students who are eligible for financial assistancewithout it, we simply couldnt. Combine that with our competitive tuition rates, and you can see how a KCTCS education is one of the best buys around.

Accreditation is also important because it helps make transferring credits to another school much easier. When you want to take the experience you receive at KCTCS even farther, accreditation proves to your transfer school that you've received a quality education that prepares you for future success.

So what's the ultimate value of accreditation? Simply this: it illustrates our deep commitment to quality, and to your success in whatever you decide to do. Higher education and your future begins here.
