Tuition Rates (per credit hour)

In-State Students $140
Out-of-State Students: From Contiguous Counties* $280
Out-of-State Students: Other Out-of-State Students $490

*Contiguous counties are those which border Kentucky. Tuition is charged for each credit hour enrolled.

Tuition and fees are determined by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System Board of Regents. For payment deadlines, refer to the college academic calendar.

Fall 2013 Semester

Tuition Payment Deadlines

July 12, 2013 Last day to pay tuition charges for students that registered on or before July 1, 2013.
August 20, 2013 Last day to pay tuition charges for students that registered between July 1, 2013 thru August 20, 2013.
August 21, 2013 Class Work Begins
August 20, 2013 Last day to sign up for the NBS Tuition Payment Plan for 2013 Fall Semester.
August 27, 2013 Last day to reduce course load or cancel registration and recieve a 100% refund.
September 19, 2013 Last day to reduce course load and recieve a 50% refund.

June 26, 2013        Last day to pay tuition charges for students that registered on or before June 26, 2013.

June 26, 2013        Last day to pay tuition charges for students that registered on or before June 26, 2013.

Additional Charges Information

  • A $30.00 security charge will be assessed each semester.
  • A $75.00 late payment charge will be assessed for when tuition is paid after the deadlines.
  • A $75.00 charge will be assessed for reinstatement of classes for students who were canceled for non-payment.
  • A $11.00 charge per term will be collected from those students enrolled in programs that require professional liability insurance (Human Services and Early Childhood Development Programs).
  • A $50.00 charge will be assessed for each check returned due to insufficient funds.
  • Delinquent accounts will be sent to the Kentucky Department of Revenue, which will charge additional charges.

UK Housing Information:

BCTC Students living in University of Kentucky Housing will be required to pay all of UK's mandatory charges.

Regulations for Tuition and Other Charges

Students who have not fully paid financial obligations to BCTC or to any division or organization of BCTC will not be permitted to register for future credit or non-credit offerings, receive transcripts, transfer credits to another institution, or graduate.

BCTC will pursue collection of all outstanding accounts pursuant to its business procedures.

Accounts that remain delinquent may be referred to outside agencies for collection and are subject to additional fees and costs.

BCTC makes every effort to include relevant, timely, and accurate information in its publications. However, BCTC reserves the right to make changes in its calendar, admissions policies, expenses, programs, curricula, course descriptions, or any other matters addressed or not addressed in this publication. Prospective students and enrolled students should check with the college's Offices of Admissions, Registrar, and/or Student Billing to learn of any such changes.

All delinquencies must be paid by money order, cashier's check, or cash in the Student Billing Office.
