Television Advertisements 

KCTCS

It is recommended that television ads for KCTCS vocally pronounce the entire system name. Additional references may be abbreviated. It is also recommended that the system tagline, “Higher Education Begins Here,” be vocally pronounced at the end of the commercial. Exceptions include sub-brands or temporary campaigns with approved tag lines.

The system logo should be included on all system-level TV ads, preferably at the end. Please follow the guidelines for logo usage on color and solid backgrounds. If necessary, a drop shadow may be applied to the reversed-out white logo. Outer glows are discouraged as they muddle the logo.

Colleges

Sub-Brands

(Currently includes TV commercials produced for the Kentucky Fire Commission; Kentucky Coal Academy; KBEMS; KCTCS Online; and Workforce Solutions)

Television ads for these KCTCS sub-brands should vocally pronounce their name in full at least once within the duration of the commercial. When applicable, KCTCS sub-brands should also vocally pronounce an approved tagline at the conclusion of the commercial.

The college or KCTCS logo should not be included on sub-brand TV ads, however, the system bar (sans the system arch) should be included at the end of the commercial, along with the sub-brand logo. Please place the system bar near the bottom of the screen and adhere to the system bar style requirements.
