President's Gala and Benefactors Awards Dinner
John P. Morgridge, San Jose, CA Honored by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System

The Kentucky Community and Technical College System is honored to have Mr. John P. Morgridge serve as National Honorary Chair for the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign. Mr. Morgridge, chairman of the board for Cisco Systems, Inc., led the company's project in 2000 to establish Cisco Networking Academies at sites at KCTCS colleges in Kentucky. Cisco contributed $1.1 million in equipment to support the internet technology training program. More recently, Mr. Morgridge made a personal investment in the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign with his personal gift of more than $100,000 in wireless technology equipment for the new KCTCS System Office Building in Versailles. Through his generosity and leadership, Mr. Morgridge has greatly enhanced the impact community and technical colleges are making on the lives of Kentuckians.

The Charles E. Cranmer-Liquid Transporters, Inc. Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. Cranmer thirty years ago to support students of Kentucky's two-year colleges. The scholarships are awarded to children of company employees, excluding those of officers and directors. Recipients, who demonstrate need and continue to make satisfactory progress toward a degree, receive up to six semesters of tuition assistance. Through Mr. Cranmer's foresight and generosity, the endowment has grown and will continue to provide much-needed support for KCTCS students. Liquid Transporters was purchased by Trimac Transportation in 1980.
