Looking for an answer to your question? Here you'll find the most commonly asked questions that we receive from students.

How long can I access my Email and Student Self-Service?

If you're enrolled in a current or future term you'll have access to your KCTCS email and Student Self-Service through the end of the last term in the next calendar. Confused?  Let's walk you through it.

If you enroll in a fall term, you will continue to have access to Email and Student Self-Service through the end of fall term next year.

The same goes for graduates. You will continue to have access to Email and Student Self-Service through the end of fall term the following year.

It is different for students who are discontinued. They will not have access to email beyond the term in which they were enrolled.

Who do I speak with about financial aid questions?

First contact the financial aid staff at the KCTCS college you attend. You can also review our online financial aid information.

What online classes do you offer?

KCTCS offers many online classes, from Nursing to Computer & Information Technology.

How can I find a college that has a program or class I'm interested in?

Information about programs and classes as well as what colleges offer them can be found in our online catalog. You can also contact the college nearest you.

Who do I contact about registration, my class schedule, exam times, etc.?

Contact your college or instructor(s) about class meeting times, class questions, exam schedules and any other matters regarding their class schedule.

For registration and class scheduling questions you can contact your academic advisor.

How can I get a copy of my transcript?

You have two ways to get a copy of your transcript:

You don't need to request a KCTCS transcript if you are attending another KCTCS college.

Processing your transcript request may take between 3-5 business days, there may be a small processing and postage fee when requesting your transcript.
