Registration Process

To complete your enrollment in KCTCS, you must be admitted to a KCTCS home college. A complete admission file may include transcripts, ACT or placement exam scores and, in the case of visiting students, a letter of good standing from your primary college or university.

It is strongly recommended that you contact a KCTCS advisor.

1. Go to www.kctcs.edu to access the Kentucky Community and Technical College website.

Click on College Districts

Choose the community college closest to you if you wish to pursue the Associate of Arts degree or the closest technical or community college if you wish to pursue the Information Technology degree.

Follow the admission procedures established by that college. This college will then be considered your Home College. All students who wish to take a KCTCS class must have a KCTCS Home College even if they are just visiting from a non-KCTCS college. The Home College takes care of all of your student needs-admission, billing, grades, conferring the degree-any student service provided to an on-campus student.

2. Please check the Distance Learning Advisors to find the advisor contact at the college you have selected as your Home College and contact the advisor by e-mail.

3. You may also register for KCTCS online classes on your KCTCS campus. In this case, you will be assigned an advisor from that college.

If you have questions about the registration process and just need to talk to someone, please call the Help Desk at KYVC at 1-877-740-4357. Someone there will be able to answer your questions.

The Help Desk is available from 8 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday and from 3 PM to 9 PM on Sundays.
