Hunter introduces himself outside of the Danville campus and begins tour.
Hunter: Hey! I'm Hunter Davis, I'm a student here at Bluegrass Community College here on the Danville Campus in the Machine Tool Technology Department. I've been here for a little bit. They want me to show you around, show you what the campus looks like, and what they offer here. So I figure we'd start with the admissions office. So, let's go in and see what kind of information they can give us.
From her office, a student affairs specialist describes her roll in the admissions process.
Erin: Once you've been admitted to the College, I'll be happy to meet with you individually to talk about a class schedule that's going to fit your needs. Many of our students work full-time, so we know that you may need online learning or evening or weekend classes, so I'd be happy to meet with you individually. We have many programs set up for you as you enter our college. So I'm going to work with you on student orientation, getting to know your faculty, and any other questions you might have about the college process.
From his office, Derek explains how to contact financial aid.
Derek: Hello, my name is Derek Ball, I'm the Financial Aid Coordinator for the Danville Campus. Normally I work in Lexington, but on Wednesdays, I'm at the Danville campus, so you can come by, we'll chat a little bit, and we'll get your financial aid straightened out. If you need assistance when I'm not here, you can also look on the Web site, on the financial aid link, or you can call our toll-free number, which is 1-866-774-4872, just ask for Financial Aid. You also want to make sure you get your FASFA done early. Usually in March by the time your file your taxes - so we have plenty of time to get you ready for school to start. But other than that, just come by and talk to us, or check out the website. On screen text:, 1-866-774-4872, bluegrass.kctcs.edu.
