Four Candidates to Interview for Ashland Community and Technical College Presidency - New ACTC President to Be Named This Summer

Versailles, Ky. (June 18, 2012) – Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) President Michael B. McCall today announced the names of four candidates to be interviewed for the position of president at Ashland Community and Technical  College (ACTC).

The four candidates include:

• Dr. Kay Adkins, President, Yuba College, Marysville, California
• Dr. John Holdnak, Vice Chancellor for Financial Policy, Florida College System
• Dr. Ralph Soney, President , Roanoke-Chowan Community College
• Dr. Rhonda Tracy, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, West Virginia University at Parkersburg

On-campus visits and interviews with the four candidates are currently being scheduled for the coming weeks. During those visits, opportunities to meet the candidates will be extended to the local community and all ACTC faculty, staff, and students.

Dr. Gregory Adkins, ACTC President and CEO, will retire at the end of June after heading the college for 11 years.  During his leadership, Ashland Community College and Ashland Technical College were consolidated into ACTC, enrollment grew from 3,400 to nearly 5,000 students and the $50 million Technology Drive Campus was funded and constructed.
